Alamogordo Weather

The climate in Alamogordo, New Mexico and the surrounding areas is moderate due to our elevation and proximity to the Sacramento Mountains. Otero County has an elevation of 4,000 to 9,000 feet and thus an ideal climate of warm days and cool nights. There are 350 days of sunshine each year in our fair city. Our winters are comfortable with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. Rain when it happens, comes in July and August.
